Strache Leadership Award Nominations
The Strache Leadership Award acknowledges leadership in the field of disability and technology. Recipients are selected based on their impact in the field, educating and mentoring students while remaining a leader in their respective field(s) through publications, presentations and research. The award is presented during the Keynote Address Program, held on Tuesday morning at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference.
The Strache Leadership Award was established and first presented in 1988 to Dr. Fred Strache, for whom this award is named. Dr. Strache held many positions at CSUN, including Vice President for Student Affairs. He was a very active and progressive administrator, with his primary emphasis always on students. Regardless of the type of project discussed with him, Dr. Strache would be supportive but always ask what the benefits to our students would be.
If you know a colleague who qualifies to be recognized for their contributions and receive the Strache Leadership Award, please provide CSUN’s Center on Disabilities with the candidate’s name and a brief statement that qualifies them for the nomination.
