For more than four decades, the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference has brought together a remarkable community committed to advancing accessibility, assistive technology, and inclusion. As we prepare to gather for the 42nd Annual CSUNATC, we celebrate not only how far the field has come, but the role this community continues to play in shaping what comes next.

The strength of the Conference is a reflection of the people and organizations who participate. Last year, we welcomed strong attendance and an exciting influx of new participants, with nearly 30 percent of our exhibitors joining us for the first time. Together with longtime partners and leaders in the field, they brought fresh ideas, perspectives, and energy, demonstrating a shared commitment to moving our industry forward.

In 2027, we are building on that momentum with the debut of our Innovation Track, designed to spotlight emerging ideas, early-stage technologies, and new approaches. Innovation has always been part of the DNA of the CSUN ATC, and we hope this new track will make the CSUN Conference an even stronger launching pad and catalyst for innovators by connecting promising ideas with people with disabilities, accessibility experts, collaborators, and industry leaders who can help move those ideas toward meaningful real-world impact.

Progress also depends on who is part of the conversation. We remain committed to a Conference where people across backgrounds, disciplines, cultures, countries, and lived experiences are welcomed and valued. We recognize that changes in immigration policy, international travel requirements, and the broader environment surrounding diversity, equity, and inclusion may create challenges for some members of our community. Our commitment remains clear: you are welcome here, and our field is stronger when everyone has the opportunity to participate and contribute.

After 42 years, the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference is not simply celebrating its history. We are continuing to build on it. Whether you have been part of this community for decades or 2027 will be your first CSUN AT Conference, we invite you to join us in Anaheim, to reconnect, discover, challenge conventional thinking, share new ideas, and help shape what comes next.
